PAPYRUS - Prevention of Young Suicide

Voluntary UK organisation committed to the prevention of young suicide and the promotion of mental health and emotional wellbeing. Includes UK resources and support for those dealing with suicide, depression or emotional distress - particularly teenagers and young adults.

A very user friendly site. Includes information for people who are worried about their friends. Includes a publications list.

Student Counselling in UK Universities offers information about the support available to UK university students. The site includes links to self help leaflets available from UK university counselling services.

Student Run Self Help

Student Run Self Help is a project working to support students with eating disorders. SRSH provide training and a framework of support for student volunteers wishing to run a self-help group. We aim to work closely with Students Unions, University Counselling services, local mental health services and national organisations to provide a strong network to support the self help groups.

Students Against Depression

The site has been developed in consultation with students who have been affected by depression, low mood or suicidal thoughts. Many of their stories and suggestions are included on the site.

An excellent resource for students and well worth visiting.

This site offers information to young people about mental health and emotional well-being.

Although aimed at all young people, including school age, this site is user friendly and includes real life stories.

This is a website about young people's real life experiences of health and lifestyle. It features clips of young people talking about their experiences of different health conditions.
The site also has forums for you to join.
